If you look at this picture clearly, there are really no roots but stubs. The purpose for the roots are to find water to sustain the tree, it has to have a life source. There was nothing to sustain this tree during the storm, causing it to fall over.
As christians, if we do not have roots in the word of God, we too, will fall over when the wind starts blowing, because we have no depths. There needs to be a steady connection source, which is God!! We are the body of Christ, he grows down into us, producing life.
Christ is the only one that can with hold us, when trials come our way. I will stand firm , and not be moved for I know that Christ is my source.

You are so right!!! We have to have a strong foundation in order to stand against the battles the enemy will send. A firm foundation, or strong roots, these are the things that keep us grounded and thriving! Keep goin' sista!
